SPACER SAFETY CHAIRS HOME

(Partial List)

"My name is Bill Hatfield and I am the medical coordinator at Heavenly Ski Patrol in South Lake Tahoe, CA. We have Safety Chairs in use daily for our ski patrollers to transport our injured guests.

We have two base areas with First Aid rooms that our injured guests can end up. After some basic First Aid, our next step is to transport our guests to the appropriate destination (hotel, lodge, urgent care, hospital, etc.). In heavy snow conditions this is extremely difficult for a mobility impaired guest.

The Safety Chairs can safely and effectively transport a patient through diverse snow and ice conditions to their car or a taxi. The wheels on a wheelchair or gurney just don’t work in snow.

In addition, we have an urgent care directly next door to our First Aid room where many of our injured guests end up. We are located a few stairs down from the urgent care and I honestly don’t know how we could transport people up the stairs and next door without the Safety Chairs.

The Safety Chairs make what would otherwise be an extremely difficult endeavor quite simple. Thank you for your wonderful product."

"The Safety Chair has become a vital piece of equipment when talking about emergency care. When working football you are most of time working with over sized individuals. The Safety Chair makes it much easier to transport the athlete off the field.

It makes a 300 Ib offensive lineman seem like 50 Ib.

"I have owned a Safety Chair for the last ten years and prior to that used one in my athletic training program at Hardin-Simmons University.

I have used the Safety Chair as a dependable method of removing injured athletes from the football and soccer fields, as well as the basketball court. I have safely and easily removed athletes suffering from leg fractures, injured knees and ankles in a professional manner which protected the athlete from further injury. The Safety Chair also helped prevent injury to my athletic training staff that could have happened from carrying an injured athlete off the field.

I would highly recommend the Safety Chair to any athletic trainer for the safety of their athletes and the sports medicine staff."

“I would like to thank you for the recent Safety Chair you provided our Sports Medicine Program here at the Santa Rosa Junior College. As you know, Santa Rosa Junior College was one of the first to use the original Safety Chairs when they were introduced to the athletic world. As with any new product, they were marketed with the hope that the Safety Chair would fill the mobilization needs and expectations of athletic trainers and sports teams across the country. I can't speak for others who have had the opportunity to use the Safety Chair, but I can say we wore out our first one in approximately 20 years. It definitely exceeded our expectations and met all of our needs.

It has been a crucial addition to our Sports Medicine Program, allowing us to move injured athletes from game and practice venues in a prudent fashion. We even assisted our student health services department with the transporting of injured students from one and multi story buildings. Also of importance was the Safety Chair's user friendliness and that it did not put my associates or me in a potentially lifting or careening situation.

Simply put, it has been a great investment and has serviced our needs extremely well.

“We have used the Safety Chair at Long Island University for years. Our athletic training team is located two floors below ground without an
elevator so the chair provides us an easy way for us
to transport injured athletes down to our facility.

We would be lost without it!

“It seems as though we at the University of Florida, have been using a Safety Chair since time began (at least 15 to 20 years). We have found the Safety Chair to be very functional in our setting and much better that the gurney and/or motorized cars, etc. One of the things we like best about the Safety Chair is that it is so functional. Once you strap the passenger in the chair, you can wheel the person wherever you decide without changing to another device.

For example, in a motorized cart, when you arrive at a doorway of most buildings, you must take the patient off the cart and wheel them to x-ray or other destination through some other method. With the Safety Chair, you arrive at the doorway, open the door, and roll straight to the destination. Another example, is an athlete or student needs to be transported somewhere by ambulance, instead of putting them on a gurney and pushing them across rough terrain that could cause discomfort or further injury, you place the patient on the Safety Chair and carry them to the ambulance.

The Safety Chair is definitely an ally. I would not expect nor want us to ever be without our Safety Chair.”
